Vaiden Bloch is part owner and has been with Northwest Management Inc. since 1987. He holds a number of positions within the company, including Forest Lands Specialist, Reforestation Program Manager, GIS Analyst and GPS Services Coordinator.
Vaiden is assistant appraiser and Forest Lands Specialist responsible for performing timber analysis and valuation on appraisals assignments. As Reforestation Manager he coordinates reforestation activities for the Moscow office, and advises the area offices on reforestation and restoration for non-industrial private forestlands and special projects. He implements afforestation on CRP contracts, habitat improvement, carbon sequestration and post harvest reforestation in accordance with stand improvement and State Forest Practices compliance. As GIS analyst, he assists the Technical Services Department and area offices with map development and data analysis using ESRI ArcGIS and ArcView software. He coordinates and manages other projects involved with aerial photo interpretation, management planning, traversing, herbicide application and GPS data gathering. Vaiden has been involved with utilizing GPS technology in the natural resources field since 1990. He has given presentations and training sessions on practical applications of GPS in Forestry to a wide audience of landowners, conservation groups and professionals.
